Part of the Collaboration Dining Series during the inaugural MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants programme.
Dai Pai Dong, an authentic, award-winning Cantonese dining experience based in the Rosewood Abu Dhabi on Al Maryah Island, will participate in the inaugural edition of the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants. The prestigious event programme, which is taking place in the region for the first time, will take place across the city from 4 – 8 February in partnership with the Department of Culture & Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
The MENA 50 Best programme will bring some of the world’s best chefs to Abu Dhabi to deliver a series of mouth-watering culinary experiences, including the 50 Best Collaboration Dining Series, that will see Dai Pai Dong host Tim Raue, from the eponymous Restaurant Tim Raue in Berlin.

The Dai Pai Dong team, led by Chef Dong, will team up with 50 Best chef Tim Raue – a Berlin-based, two-Michelin-star chef and star of the popular Netflix show “Chef’s Table” – to create unique collaborative 8-course menu that can be experienced for one night only. Tim Raue will be adding his signature langoustine, pike perch and famous duck soup dishes to Dai Pai Dong’s innovative Cantonese cuisine, including delicious, barbecued meat and roast duck.
Chef Tim Raue said: “I am extremely proud to take part in the MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants presentation in Abu Dhabi and cannot wait to present my idea of an Asian cuisine that combines Japanese product perfection with Thai flavors and a Chinese kitchen philosophy. I am very much looking forward to cooking at Dai Pong Dong alongside Chef Nie Dong, Chef de Cuisine and working hand in hand with Chef Samuele Baudoino [Rosewood executive chef].
