Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi set to host three spectacular MICHELIN-starred Chef’s Table experiences

Four-hand and six-hand MICHELIN Chef’s Table experiences with renowned MICHELIN-starred restaurant chefs

Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi is thrilled to further its position as one of the UAE’s leading culinary destinations by hosting a whole series of MICHELIN Chef’s Table events during the first-ever edition of the MICHELIN Guide Food Festival Abu Dhabi.  

Following its selection for the debut MICHELIN Guide Abu Dhabi, the award-winning French restaurant is hosting three intimate and exclusive dining experiences hosted in collaboration with chefs from local and international MICHELIN-recognised restaurants.

Hosted within the timeless and sophisticated ambiance of Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi, the Chef’s Table series provides the perfect chance for guests to delve deeper into the world of the MICHELIN Guide, and get front row seats at the table of world-class chefs.

Featuring one ‘four-hand’ fine dining experience and two ‘six-hand’, each event in the series boasts a different and distinctive theme.

The European Series – Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi, Credo, and Talea

On Thursday, December 7, Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi is kicking off the star-studded Chef’s Table series with a special six-hand dinner created by three incredible MICHELIN recognised restaurants.

Featuring the talents of Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi’s own Culinary Director, Chef Balveer Balkissoon and Corporate Pastry Chef Hugo Sipp, the menu showcases a diverse range of European flavours. Taking guests on a vibrant tasting journey through France, Italy and Scandinavia, the one-of-a-kind, six-course dinner is an experience to remember forever.

While the Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi team provide an elegant starter of French foie gras terrine and a chic dessert of truffle ice cream drizzled with banyuls caramel and topped with mascarpone foam, chef Heidi Bjerkan of the One MICHELIN Star and MICHELIN Green Star restaurant Credo in Trondheim, Norway, will showcase the best of Scandinavian cuisine with her fresh oyster platters and grilled langoustines.

Meanwhile, head chef Luigi Stinga from Abu Dhabi’s One MICHELIN Star Talea by Antonio Guida will be bringing a modern Italian twist to the event with his homemade ravioli and slow-cooked lamb with celeriac purée and choron sauce.

Drawing the evening to a sweet ending, Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi will serve a delectable dessert selection of vanilla truffle ice cream, Earl Grey and balsamic caramel , and mascarpone foam.

The European Series is a private event only available to a VIP guest list.

Asian Series – JL Studio, Hakkasan Abu Dhabi, and Sorn

On Friday, December 8, the focus switches to vibrant and colourful Asian cuisine.  

Featuring talented chefs from Three MICHELIN-recognised and world-renowned Asian restaurants, it promises to be an unmissable experience for anyone with a passion for authentic Asian cuisine.

Singaporean chef Jimmy Lim from Three MICHELIN Star restaurant JL Studio in Taiwan will be pushing the boundaries with his Hokkaido scallops and garoupa pandan with jasmine rice.

Abu Dhabi’s own One MICHELIN Star Hakkasan will be adding an extra sprinkle of magic with chef Lee Kok Hua’s Peking duck duet and grilled truffle black cod, while celebrated chef Supaksorn Jongsiri of Two MICHELIN Star restaurant Sorn in Bangkok, Thailand, will be demonstrating his unique take on Southern Thai cuisine with fresh Thai winged bean salad and rich beef massaman curry.  

Finishing off the evening on an elegant high, Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi will provide an exquisite concluding course of black sesame namelaka with puffed rice and matcha ice cream.

A bespoke vegetarian menu is also available for those who want to explore meat-free alternatives.

The Asian Series Chef’s Table experience will take place on Friday, December 8 from 8PM. Tickets are priced AED 750 per person (excluding beverage pairing). Each Chef’s Table ticket will include free entry into the MICHELIN Guide Food Festival Abu Dhabi.  

Contemporary Series – 99 Sushi Bar and Saison

Finally, on Sunday, December 10, guests are invited to join the team at Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi for an extraordinary Sunday lunch like no other.

Chef Thinus van der Westhuizen from the One MICHELIN Star 99 Sushi Bar, located on Abu Dhabi’s Al Maryah Island, will present the best of modern Japanese cuisine with sophisticated specialties such as toro tuna pizza, oysters and Japanese kobe grade A5 beef steak.

Meanwhile, chef Richard Lee, who has travelled all the way over from San Francisco’s Two MICHELIN Star, contemporary Californian restaurant Saison, will treat guests to caviar, black cod, dry aged duck and more sumptuous specialties.

Providing a distinguished end to the diverse eight-course menu, Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi will serve a selection of the venue’s signature petit fours and coffee.

The Contemporary Series Chef’s Table experience will take place on Sunday, December 10 from 1PM. Tickets are priced AED 750 per person (excluding beverage pairing). Each Chef’s Table ticket will include free entry into the MICHELIN Guide Food Festival Abu Dhabi.
