Qasr Al Watan marks World Autism Awareness Day through music

With a musical performance by the gifted autistic piano player Ahmed Al Mousaw

The Palace of the Nation, Qasr Al Watan, welcomed visitors to a special evening on 31st March where it honored the achievements of People of Determination by marking World Autism Awareness Day through a swaying musical performance by the gifted autistic piano player Ahmed Al Mousawi.

Only nine years of age, Ahmed Al Mousawi is an Emirati piano player that found his passion and talent for music at a very early age. Visitors found themselves mesmerized with melodiously sweet pieces as they watched the gifted piano player liven up the space with his talent in the Great Hall of the Palace.

Alongside the performance, visitors and their families also marvelled at the spectacular architecture of Qasr Al Watan and the awing beauty of the Great Hall as they stood under its most striking feature, the central dome.

Through these designs, visitors had the chance to learn about the principles that have propelled traditional Arabian culture and Islamic art to remarkable status and gained a deep appreciation of Arabian architectural craftsmanship and intellectual heritage.

As the event took place from 3:30 PM to 5 PM, visitors had just enough time to sit by the soothing outdoor fountain and enjoy a warm cup of coffee at the Palace Gardens and watch Qasr Al Watan come into full view in all of its architectural grandeur. Visitors then caught the spectacular sound and light show, the Palace in Motion show – an audiovisual display that projects onto the façade of the Palace the visual story of the UAE’s past, present, and future.

Qasr Al Watan welcomes visitors of all ages daily from 11:00AM to 17:00PM for more information and to buy your tickets please visit https://www.qasralwatan.ae
