Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi Unveils Ramadan Experiences

Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi presents programmes of dining, wellness and family experiences, thoughtfully curated across the Palace’s restaurants and spaces.  

The season is marked by the warm hospitality for which the hotel is known, alongside refined flavours and moments designed to be shared with loved ones. 

Majlis by the Sea 

At the heart of this iconic destination’s Ramadan programme is Majlis by the Sea, set on the water’s edge within the Palace grounds, offering views of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental itself alongside Qasr Al Watan and the exquisite Arabian shoreline. 

Iftar is served daily from sunset until 8:30pm, featuring a generous buffet accompanied by live music and fire dance performances, priced at AED 365 per person, with children aged 4–11 dining at 50% savings. 

The Iftar menu brings together traditional Ramadan flavours and international favourites, beginning with classic juices such as jellab, qamar al-dine and tamarhindi, alongside fresh laban and warming lentil and mushroom soups. Emirati specialities include veal harees, lamb thareed, chicken margouga and whole ouzi with oriental rice. Live stations from Martabaan by Hemant Oberoi, Talea by Antonio Guida, Strawfire by Ross Shonhan, Lebanese Terrace and Hakkasan will serve a diverse selection of globally-inspired dishes including ricotta and spinach ravioli, bossam-style short rib, shawarma, chilli prawns and butter chicken.  A selection of enticing deserts will conclude the experience with kunafa, mouhalabia and chocolate date desserts available to diners.  

As the evening continues, Suhoor is served from 10pm to 2am, offering a range of dining options to suit both intimate gatherings and larger occasions. À la carte dining is available with a minimum spend of AED 200 per person (excluding shisha), while a Suhoor buffet is offered for groups of 40 guests and above, priced at AED 325 per person. 

For private group gatherings, a selection of set menus is also available, with prices starting from AED 360 per person, applicable to groups of 10 guests and above. 

Across the Palace, a selection of dining destinations presents Ramadan set menus for Iftar and Suhoor alongside à la carte offerings, offering guests a variety of flavours and dining experiences to choose from throughout the holy month.

Broadway 

Modern American brasserie, Broadway, serves both Iftar and Suhoor set menus daily priced at AED 250 per person. This Iftar menu opens with fresh, seasonal starters including kale fattoush, beetroot and avocado salad and lentil soup finished with gremolata. For mains, guests may choose from oriental-spiced lamb cutlets, saffron-finished cod, herbed corn-fed chicken or wild mushroom ravioli, before concluding with a refined dessert selection of premium baklava, chocolate tart, mandarin sorbet and exotic fruits.

Sand & Koal 

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental famed beachfront venue, Sand & Koal, offers an Iftar set menu priced at AED 320 per person, with an à la carte menu available.  Menu highlights include grilled khameer bread with date paste, yarra valley fetta, local honey and sesame in addition to Sand & Koal baby lamb ouzi with spicy cashews, fresh zattar, sage, raisins, aioli, harissa, bomba rice and confit lemon. Guests can enjoy a soft live music ambiance from Wednesday to Sunday, live performances on Friday and Saturday and a qanun player on Friday. 

Strawfire by Ross Shonhan 

Strawfire by Ross Shonhan presents Iftar menus inspired by open-fire cooking, priced at AED 320 per person, complemented by à la carte selections and a soft live music ambiance. Menu highlights include Australian Wagyu MB 4-5 Striploin with Japanese BBQ sauce and Crispy Vegetable Hot Stone Rice with tatamen sauce and onsen egg.  

Martabaan by Hemant Oberoi 

Martabaan by Hemant Oberoi serves a specially curated Indian Iftar set menu priced at AED 250 per person from 6:30 to 9pm, with favourites such as Haleem, Butter Chicken and Biryani appearing on the menu.  

Talea by Antonio Guida 

Talea by Antonio Guida, the one Michelin-starred Italian restaurant, offers a refined Iftar set menu priced at AED 320 per person, complemented by live singer performances from 7 to 11pm. This Iftar menu celebrates comforting Italian classics, beginning with starters to share including parmigiana di melanzane, creamy burrata and a fresh insalata di campo. Guests may then choose between spaghetti pomodoro or a classic pizza margherita, before ending the evening on a sweet note with traditional tiramisu. 

Café Fountain 

For a more relaxed outdoor setting, Café Fountain, framed by lush greenery and overlooking the hotel’s iconic fountains with sweeping city views, serves Iftar set menus starting from AED 220 per person, including selected soft drinks, followed by à la carte Suhoor with a minimum spend of AED 160 per person, accompanied by traditional oud performances. 

Episodes 

Episodes, located at the heart of the hotel’s vibrant grand lobby, offers a curated selection of Ramadan hampers for gifting, priced between AED 450 and AED 950, featuring assorted baklava, kunafa, ma’amoul date cookies, premium dates, bottle of honey, mixed nuts and more  alongside additional retail items. Live music enhances the atmosphere throughout the day, with a pianist performing daily from 12 to 5pm, followed by oud and qanun performances from 6 to 10pm.

Little Lanterns Iftar Night 

For little fans, Kids Palace introduces Little Lanterns Iftar Night, a joyful Ramadan experience designed especially for children, nurturing creativity, culture and connection.  

Running Friday to Sunday from 5 to 8pm throughout the holy month, the programme invites children to take part in Ramadan-themed arts and crafts, lantern making workshops, canvas camel painting, interactive team games and family-friendly movie nights, priced at AED 250 per child.  

A 24-hour advance reservation is required.

Wellness During Ramadan 

Wellness takes on a mindful focus during Ramadan at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi with treatments designed to support balance during the fasting period. Highlights include the Aromatic Detox Hammam, available daily (excluding public holidays) from 10am to 9pm, a 60-minute full-body ritual incorporating a traditional hammam, body mask application and hair treatment, priced at AED 550 per person. 

Families can also enjoy Mother & Child Spa Time, available daily from 10am to 9pm, where guests booking any 90-minute massage receive a complimentary 30-minute treatment for their child from the children’s menu. 

The Fasting Flow Experience, a thoughtfully curated journey supporting balance throughout Ramadan, from 9am to 6pm, combining an InBody assessment, light personal training, guided stretching and recovery through ice bath or steam, priced at AED 380 per person.
