Umm Al Emarat Park, Abu Dhabi’s green haven, is set to celebrate culture and arts on 16-17 February 2024 by hosting the extraordinary “Festival in the Park”, a two-day celebration of creativity set to captivate audiences with a diverse array of performances, workshops, and cultural showcases.
Designed to appeal to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, the “Festival in the Park” promises a rich tapestry of experiences, including art and music presentations, dance workshops, drumming performances and engaging storytelling sessions. With a focus on highlighting the art and culture of China – the honoured guest country for the esteemed Abu Dhabi Festival 2024 – attendees can expect an immersive and enlightening cultural experience.
Taking place on the evenings of Friday, February 16, 2024 and Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the picturesque Umm Al Emarat Park, the “Festival in the Park” is a must-attend event for families seeking a harmonious blend of entertainment and cultural enrichment.
The festival’s extensive program, free to attend upon Park entry, is brimming with a wide range of activities including a sustainable agriculture workshop with Emirati farmer Saeed Al Remeithi and an Emirati bracelet making workshop by Al Ghadeer on the first day.
On the second day, an Emirati doll making workshop by Beautiful Bear, a mosaic art workshop by Emirati artist Sarah Al Senaani will be held promising something special for every guest.
Attendees can look forward to an enchanting lineup of events, including a host of Chinese-themed activities such as fashion shows, open-mic performances, games, giveaways and martial arts demonstrations. The evenings will culminate in captivating stage productions, including the enchanting Peter Pan musical theatrical show and a dynamic showcase merging Emirati and Chinese arts through dance, music performances and choir renditions.
Moreover, in collaboration with the esteemed Chinese Language Institute Middle East and the China Cultural Center UAE, the “Festival in the Park” serves as a vibrant platform for cultural exchange and appreciation between diverse communities.
