Yas Bay Waterfront’s exciting happenings set to delight all this December

From a winter extravaganza to spectacular fireworks, the day-to-night destination is set to end the year with a bang

This December, stop by Yas Bay, Abu Dhabi’s vibrant dining and nightlife destination for an exciting line-up of unmissable events, musical performances, and entertainment before you ring in the new year.

Here’s what’s in store for the month ahead:

• Dust off your festive boots and get ready to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year at Yas Island as Yas Marina and Yas Bay Waterfront host their collective festive extravaganza, ‘Magic of Winter’ from December 8^th – 31^st. Guests and families will be welcomed by merry cheer as Yas Marina will be adorned in red, gold, and green, complete with a traditional tree and meet and greet at Santa’s Grotto from 4:00pm – 8:00pm, until Christmas Day. At Yas Bay Waterfront, expect a captivating, yet modern take on the classic Christmas tree, complete with cool winter colours, glittery baubles and a life-size decorative giftbox.

• Looking for a Christmas feast? Stop by Asia Asia on December 24^th between 2:00pm – 5:00pm for a four-course meal and discover the flavours of the ancient Spice Route for a Pan Asian inspired menu to tantalize the senses, including unlimited beverages. Or stop by on Christmas Day and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year in style for seasonal favourites, unlimited beverages, and breath-taking views of the tranquil Yas Bay.

• Asia Asia offers guests a unique culinary experience to ring in 2023. Starting at AED 700, treat yourself to tantalising Asian flare from the set menu, accompanied by unlimited beverages and a guest DJ, live musicians, roaming entertainment and a front row seat to the Yas Bay Waterfront fireworks from 8:30pm-12:30pm. The start the year embarking on a Spice Route with unlimited sushi and dim sum, with a bottle of grape from 2:00pm – 8:00pm at AED 330 per couple.

• Everyone’s favourite Lock, Stock & Barrel is offering a festive roast daily this month or stop by Festive Midweek Madness on December 21^st from 8:00pm – 11:00pm for unlimited food and drinks for just AE D200.

• Have yourself a merry little Christmas Eve with Absolutely Barrelled Brunch at Lock Stock & Barrel, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm for unlimited food and drinks for AED 200, or AED 250 for a selection of house drinks. On Christmas Day, Lock Stock & Barrel is offering guests 50% off select beverages from 1:00pm – 8:00pm. Treat yourself to a special Boxing Day Roast with a side of the Premier League Football from 4:00pm – 1:00am, at just AED 120, including one select beverage. No plans for New Year’s? Ring in the New Year with an a la carte option from 4:00pm – 8:00pm, with the party continuing till late from 9:00pm onwards, for just AED 350 including house beverages. Expect live music and unparalleled vibes, you won’t want to miss this!

• CENTRAL offers family fun and a beautiful festive roast every Sunday this December for just AED 125 for adults and AED 75 for kids. Celebrate the ‘Neon New Year’ with some friendly competition with this family favourite brunch from 8:30pm – 12:30am with unlimited drinks, and a set sharing menu. Kids under 7 are free to enter, with AED 200 for guests aged 7-21, and AED 400 for 21 and over, including house beverages.

• Diners at Hunter & Barrel are in for a treat, with a special Christmas Day roast on December 25^th, from 12pm onwards. Expect slow-cooked leg of lamb, stuffed with grain mustard and rosemary, served with ratatouille and young potatoes for AED 450. Or chose a roasted corn-fed whole chicken, served with braised vegetables and potato cocotte for AED 250. On December 31^st, feast your eyes on a special menu worth AED 690, with a welcome drink upon arrival, followed by king prawns cooked in mango duxelles citrus dressing and a juicy char-grill rib eye angus 5+. End 2022 on a sweet note with a decadent Tart filled with chocolatey goodness, available from 8:00pm onwards.

• Celebrate Christmas with a French flair at Paradiso, with a set menu of AED 350 per person that includes veal tartare, ceaser dressing served with puntarella, followed by parmesan and saffron risotto, radicchio puree and a roasted capon supreme with aromatics crushed Jerusalem artichokes with black truffle melanosporum. End on a sweet note with rose water Canaletto served with honey ice cream.

• The Trilogy (Bushra, Siddharta Lounge and Zeera) celebrates Christmas with a set menu on December 24^th. For AED 450, feast on a Christmas Eve special set menu, including a bottle of grape for two. If you can’t make it on Christmas Eve, join the party on New Year’s Eve – complete with live dance performances, a fire show and the ultimate party music from DJ Johny at Bushra DJ Jack. Packages start from AED 750 for a select menu, and for AED 950, enjoy the delicious bites with free-flowing drinks.

• Fan favourite Warehouse Gym is offering a 50% discount on membership fees, and gym-goers can spend on recovery treatments, personal training, healthy meals and more. T&Cs apply.

• Audience favourite Jazz by the Bay continues till January 1^st, and guests and families can enjoy the sights and sounds of jazz performances taking place across two stages conveniently located either on the boardwalk next to family favourite, CENTRAL, as well as the arena plaza adjacent to Lock, Stock & Barrel. Expect an incredible line-up of jazz musicians and dancers every Friday – Saturday from 5:00pm – 11:00pm.

• End the year on a spectacular note, as Yas Bay Waterfront will be illuminated after dark on December 31^st at 9:00pm and then at 12:00am. Expect to be enthralled by fireworks over the boardwalk, as you make a wish for the new year.

• Indulge in the ultimate Christmas gift with Café del Mar: unlimited BBQ and bevvies from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on the 24^th. Not sure what to do for New Years? Café del Mar has got you covered, with a spectacular dinner and fireworks show including unlimited free flow, until 1:00am – act fast, early birds only pay AED 599, otherwise this spectacular deal will still be available for AED 750.

• Experience The Lighthouse’s appetizing menu on December 31^st from 8:00pm onwards, featuring a three-course meal prepared with fresh produce, with Mediterranean influences for AED 500, or opt for the package with bubbles at AED 700.
