Running from December 9th – 23rd Al Maryah Island’s promenade will be transformed into a snow-covered winter village set to entertain visitors with exciting shows and performances
Abu Dhabi, 10 December 2021: Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi’s global financial and lifestyle destination, will be hosting theannual Winter Wonderland from the 9th – 23rd December. The Promenade is set to transform into a winter village, with snow covered cottages and festive decorations.
Ali Fikree, Senior Vice President, UAE Investments at Mubadala Investment Company, said: “We are excited to be bringing Winter Wonderland back to Al Maryah Island, delighting and entertaining our guests with a village of festive attractions fit for family and friends. Home to Abu Dhabi’s all-in-one global financial and lifestyle destination, Al Maryah Island continues to host world-class festivals, and we look forward to welcoming many families and friends to Winder Wonderland.”
Guests will be entertained with various activities including a Tube Slide and Snow Zone. The festival will also feature an ice rink andfamilies will have an opportunity to test their curling skills, and to also unleash their creative reindeer crafting and candle decorating skills. Live performances throughout the 14-day festival will keep the whole family entertained including Candy Cane Lane, a stripetastic fun filled festive showcase with dancing top hatted candy canes; Yeti Funk, a frosty dream of magical wonders and surprises and sing along with Elsa and all your favouritecharacters at the Frozen show.
The festival will run every day from 4:30pm – 10:30pm, starting 9 December and ending on 23 December 2021.
In addition, The Galleria is bringing back its popular Letters to Santa, where children can write their festive wish list for the chance to have it come true with daily wishes being granted. Pick up a letter from the Galleria’s own Winter Village.
Guests will be advised to adhere to COVID-19 safety precautions, including undergoing an EDE and a thermal examination upon entry, and presenting a green pass. Visitors will also be advised to wear masks at all times to ensure the health and wellbeing of visitors.
