The stunning UAE National Day sculpture in the mangrove forest is now open to visitors.
On the occasion of the 49 UAE National Day a special show, “Seeds of the Nation”, was streamed live all over the UAE featuring a kinetic art installation called The Seed on Jubail Island in Abu Dhabi.
The performance was created by a team of Emiratis and Es Devlin, who designed the closing ceremony for the London 2012 Summer Olympics, the opening ceremony of the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics and the UK Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Now this stunning sculpture is open to the public, you can see the artwork up close, with daily events showcasing the piece that features the evolution of a seed to a shoot to a flower and on to propagation.
Located on the beach area of Jubail Island visitors can buy tickets and experience a superbly choreographed light show blending music and art against the stunning mangrove backdrop.
Tickets are priced at AED 30 for adults and AED 15 for kids form 7 to 13 are at AED15 and the shows run form continuously 6 PM to 8 PM daily
The arena can seat 400 guests in suitably distanced seating and the proceeds of the show are to go towards conservation of the mangroves.
There are a small group of food trucks on site providing refreshments worth trying as well.
