Amplifying the conversation around the purpose of Earth Hour, and putting the spotlight on an incredible local artist, W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island is here to join the celebrations and offer an intimate performance by the sensational Abri at Living Room Live on March 26th.
At 7:45PM doors will open for guests to enjoy some light sips and bites and get ready for the performance. Feel the music begin as the lights turn off for Earth Hour, and only candles light up the room, making the hotel’s Living Room go live. Tune into the chill mood of the night and let UAE’s No1 award-winning artist Abri’s tunes sweep you off your feet with a live performance under the spotlight.
Born and raised in Dubai, Abri is the No1 artist in the UAE and the founder of the homonymous band: described as the ‘best original band Dubai has ever seen’ by TimeOut. Adding another feather to his hat, Abri has shared the stage with international artists including, Kanye West, Mika, Joss Stone, and Ziggy Marley amongst others. His music sees influences as diverse as samba, jazz, soul, R&B, and swing, all under an accessible pop polish.
The night doesn’t end there, guests are invited to continue their evening at W Lounge and get the first drink on us, and live it up while the resident DJ James takes over the night.
Celebrated annually on the last Saturday of March, Earth Hour is a tradition of shutting down electric lights for an hour. The aim is to increase awareness and spark global conversations on protecting nature, tackling the climate crisis, and working together to shape a brighter future for us all.
