The Abu Dhabi Edition presents a UAE National Day Gallery

A unique art gallery celebration of local talent and culture on the occasion of the 49th UAE National Day.

A moment to be celebrated, The Abu Dhabi EDITION presents a cultural art array on the occasion of the 49th UAE National Day. A unique pop up, from Friday 27th November until Saturday 5th December, The Abu Dhabi EDITION UAE National Day Gallery, will showcase impressive pieces and live painting by local artists, alongside the contemporary hotel’s very own curated art collection.

The waterfront property, situated in Al Bateen Marina, will welcome guests and visitors to freely visit works throughout the week from artists; Budour Al Ameri, Salama Al Nuaimi, Khaled Al Jabri, Jeramie Christian, Leila Marie and Sultan Al Hashimi.

Curated in partnership with iAM Studio Abu Dhabi, art and culture enthusiasts can also expect exclusive Wilfred Thesiger photography. Heritage imagery of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan taken hunting in Al Khatam sands, near Jebel Hafeet between December 20, 1948 and January 27, 1949 will start the journey.

Thesiger described and captured Sheikh Zayed as ‘a powerfully built man of about thirty with a brown beard. He had a strong intelligent face, with steady observant eyes, and his manner was quiet but masterful’.

Architecturally inspired, Emirati Budour Al Ameri is set to display six paintings, as well as live painting a bespoke EDITION one-of-a-kind piece. Salama Al Nuaimi, an Emirati interdisciplinary artist, is set to display a calming, colorful, light hearted yet meaningful illustration, curated through digital media. UAE native, Khaled Al Jabri will bring signature cartoon style with two of his latest comic pieces.

Whilst Jeramie Christian a visual artist represents his passion for photography, an expression of Arabian tradition and culture, capturing details, emotions and memories to be shared.

Sudanese Leila Marie explores sentimental nostalgia in the context of growing up in the UAE, showing a custom patriotic golden coin sculpture, featuring Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Arabian calligraphy and a poem written by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum dedicated to the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

Completing the line-up, Emirati Sultan Al Hashimi emanates good vibes and energy through captivating street art, inspired by a time where the world was filled with imagination and wonders.

An extension of the hotel’s authentic design ethos, the visual display is set to enchant guests on the national special occasion, an experience to create lasting memories.
