A celebration of women’s empowerment, through local artists and creative beverage stylings.
The Abu Dhabi EDITION recognizes International Women’s Day with unique pop up art and complimentary coffee to treat ladies on Monday 8th March. In addition, the sophisticated Library Bar, presents chic evenings with an exclusive Empowered Women’s Night experience, daily from International Women’s Day until Mother’s Day, 21st March.
The waterfront property, situated in Al Bateen Marina, will welcome guests and visitors to freely visit works from artists; Fatima Al Dhamash, Yasmin Hamadi, Holtz Javier and Gemma Gallagher. On Monday 8th March, complimentary coffee will be served for all ladies from the lobby bar.
The artists have adorned painted takeaway coffee cups for the occasion and will showcase Women’s Empowerment inspired pieces inside and onto the terrace area, alongside the hotel’s very own curated art collection.
An extension of the hotel’s authentic design ethos, guests can expect abstract art from Emirati, Fatima Al Dhamash, whose art usually features ‘Adam and Eve’, yet places the spotlight on Eve, her power to bring the addition of beauty to life. Yasmin Hamadi, a Palestinian born and raised in the UAE introduces works that tell ‘the other side of the story’ through bold contrast.
She reflects conflicting internal emotions and thoughts, such as bravery and shyness, through her art, believing that the female experience has two sides. Filipino Holtz Javier was raised in a creative family of artists, he channeled his passion around the theme of freedom and developed a unique style that stands out for its sense of flow.
His empowerment pieces focus on peace, reclaimed when women open themselves to the deep mystery of mindfulness.
Irish artist, Gemma Gallagher’s expertise ranges mediums including canvas painting, mural design, street art and illustration, and encompasses education, exhibitions and workshops developed to nurture female homegrown talent in the Emirates.
Empowered Women’s Nights
An intimate setting with a dash of the unexpected, Library Bar welcomes ladies to celebrate from International Women’s Day, 8th March through to Mother’s Day, 21st March, with a limited time menu of empowered concoctions.
Mixology moments include, Mind The (Wage) Gap, Long Island Iced Equali-Tea and The Mom-Hattan. Ladies can sip unlimited cocktails and enjoy a menu bite of their choice, a 3-hour experience.
Library Bar Empowered Women’s Nights – Available daily from Monday 8th March until Sunday 21st March, from 6pm to 1am, AED 128.
