This time we tied the Chinese Menu at our favorite Pakistani Restaurant in Abu Dhabi.
Taste of Lahore is well known for exceptional Pakistani cuisine but not many are aware they also serve delectable Chinese food that will leave you quiet satisfied.
The last time we were over the owners handed us there separate Taste of China Menu and we just had to go back and give it a try.
The Order
We are partial to their kebabs and nihari so in order for us to try as much of the Chinese menu as possible they put together a tasting menu covering all their specialties which left us quiet delighted and stuffed.
We stared with some delightful, fresh and crisp Chicken spring rolls and some gorgeous chicken lollipops which tasted divine and set the tone for the rest of the meal
Next up we were served a Pakistani specialty soup called 19B, can’t figure out the origins of the name but was hot and deeply flavorful, the Chicken Hot and Sour soup was also well balanced and filling.
The mains were Mongolian Beef and Szechuan Chicken. the beef was tender and with the onions and peppers tasted perfect, the Chicken with the fried chilis was exactly as we would have loved it, hot and delightful.
Along with this we tried the Prawn Chow Mein piping hot with fresh prawn and tofu and a classic Egg fried rice which was delicious.
The Verdict
We were pleasantly surprised the food was excellent coming out of a kitchen that is know for Lahori delights, hats off to the Chef.
This was our first with Pakistani style Chinese and I must say the flavors were deep and delicate.
The portion sizes are huge and the pricing will put a smile on your face also the food was packaged perfectly, arrived piping hot with all the condiments.
We feel they need to start a separate venue for the Chinese food so more people will be able to experience the exquisite taste.
