The hotel announces the Shangri-La’s Culinary Master Series with the first pop-up featuring an exclusive dining experience presented by French chef, Baptiste Renouard.
Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi will host Michelin-starred French Chef, Baptiste Renouard, for a pop-up event of four nights from 8 to 11 December 2021 at the award-winning French restaurant, Bord Eau. Abu Dhabi residents and guests can look forward to an exciting culinary experience highlighting the young chef’s talent (only 30 years old) through an exclusive five-course set menu with Chef Baptiste’s signature dishes.
Supervised by the greatest chefs from an early age, being Joël Robuchon to Jean-François Piège, Chef Baptiste Renouard was trained at the prestigious Ferrandi school. Since 2019, he has been working in his own restaurant, the Ochre, in Rueil-Malmaison which was recently awarded a Michelin Star (2021). Chef Baptiste is known for his classic but assertive approach to French cuisine, presenting unexpected flavours and delighting diners with sophisticated and expertly crafted dishes.
The five-course menu kicks off with a delectable Amuse-bouche, followed by a“Tarte Tatin” with Turnips and puffed Buckwheat. The main course includes snacked Scallops with Butternut and fresh Black Truffles, as well as Australian Beef Tenderloin. The dessert is the chef’s signature dish featuring his childhood memories and followed up with Fruit Mousse Tartlets and Buckwheat Paris-Brest.
The exclusive five-course set menu will be available from 8 to 11 December at 7 p.m. for AED388 per person with soft beverages and AED576 with wine pairing. The Michelin-starred chef will also host daily cooking classes in Bord Eau’s kitchen from 1 to 3 p.m. at AED158 per person, limited to a maximum of 5 participants.
This season’s Shangri-La’s Culinary Master Series will take place from December 2021 until Ramadan 2022 bringing to Abu Dhabi celebrity chefs and Michelin-starred dining experiences from different parts of the world.
