Marriott Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi, has introduced a pet-friendly outdoor terrace at Appaloosa Sports Bar, officially welcoming pets in a designated al fresco setting. The initiative follows recent Abu Dhabi regulatory updates permitting hotels and restaurants holding tourism licences to welcome pets such as cats and dogs in approved outdoor areas, marking a significant shift in the emirate’s hospitality landscape.

By enabling pet access in outdoor hospitality venues, Abu Dhabi continues to position itself as a progressive, inclusive destination for residents and visitors alike.

Appaloosa’s pet-friendly terrace is now open daily from 12 pm to 2 am and features shaded seating areas, fresh water bowls for pets, and a relaxed social atmosphere suited to casual dining, sports viewing, and outdoor gatherings. Guests visiting with pets can access the terrace conveniently via the hotel’s back entrance.
Pet-friendly hospitality has become an increasingly important differentiator in the market, as guests seek venues that support both social engagement and pet comfort. With this initiative, Marriott Al Forsan aims to contribute to the capital’s evolving leisure offering while responding to changing consumer behaviours.
