The Outlet
La Pasta di Maria is a new delivery only outlet in the Al Nahyan that specializes in Pastas. Orders are placed either by calling direct or via the various food delivery apps.
We placed our order thru Zomato and we were impressed by how fast the order was accepted and executed. Our food arrived piping hot in under 30 minutes.
The Order
They have a small but well curated menu with a selection of starters and various types of Pasta to choose from, here is what we tried.
Mozzarella Sticks – This was our starter, four pieces of deep fried, breaded Mozzarella Sticks with a Marinara Sauce, the outside was perfectly golden and crunch with melted Mozzarella inside, a bit of seasoning would make them totally fantastic.
Gnocchi – This was a good size portion, gnocchi in a thick tomato sauce topped with cheese, we loved the texture but it lacked the depth of flavor one would expect.
Ravioli Ricotta & Spinach – This was the best dish of them all but sadly the portion size was quiet small for a main dish The The Ravioli was coated in a creamy mushroom sauce with a topping of Parmesan pieces, the taste was excellent.
The Verdict
It’s a great start for a new place, lots of scope for improvement but going by the Ravioli we feel they will be doing far better given some time.
