Weekend Breakfast at the IKEA Restaurant in Abu Dhabi is a must try
Now you must be wondering why anyone would go to a furniture store for breakfast and that too on a weekend, well its just a fantastic experience so do give it a try.
The IKEA Restaurant is an integral part of the IKEA stores around the world and adds to the shopping experience.
They are open all day serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a selection of excellent food with international and regional dishes.
The Restaurant
Its a self serve concept, you grab a tray and basically get anything you want, food ranges form grab n go sandwiches to soups, salads, desserts and meals.
Breakfast at IKEA quiet extensive with regular items along with seasonal specialties that keep changing.
The Order
IKEA Breakfast – This is the ultimate, you get a plate loaded with scrambled eggs, baked beans, bacon, sausages and mushrooms with a hash brown, its a huge meal but very satisfying.
Masala Omelette – This is a new addition, a two egg omelette with peppers, onions and tomatoes, very tasty, you have the option to add as many sides as you like, we went with some hash browns and toast, perfect.
The Verdict
Loved the Masala Omelette and the IKEA Beakfast was superb as usual. We got some coffee and a soft drink, both are bottomless which is perfect.
The tables are well spaced apart and they offer disposable cutlery and cups which is really nice in today’s times. Its a really popular place and we actually had to wait a few minutes to be let in.
Very neat and clean, with friendly staff and tasty food which is as per the IKEA philosophy is priced very well too.
