The highly anticipated third season of Hatta Resorts and Hatta Wadi Hub, one of UAE’s most popular eco-friendly adventure destinations has started. The experience at Hatta is crafted to provide a rich, sensory treat, allowing visitors a break from city life and an opportunity to indulge in nature and outdoor adventure like nowhere else in the UAE. The new season runs until the end of April 2021.
Hatta Resorts and Hatta Wadi Hub will offer an exciting array of activities and opportunities, ranging from glamping, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking to exploring the heritage of Hatta and indulging in authentic Emirati culture; and thus, attracting thrill seekers, nature enthusiasts, families and holidaymakers alike year on year.
This season, further safety and precautionary measures in line with official COVID-19 guidelines have been put in place across the site, with fully equipped facilities and trained staff on hand to support visitors through emergencies or requests.
Hatta Resorts is home to the first glamping trailers and eco-friendly mountain lodges in the UAE, with its two distinctive accommodations, Hatta Sedr Trailers and Hatta Damani Lodges, designed to provide a picture-perfect escape.
Visitors can also enjoy the option of camping under the stars at the main activity centre, Hatta Wadi Hub, where they can choose to bring their own tents or caravans; these camping experiences can be availed at AED 129 midweek and AED 199 weekend and public holidays, and AED 299 midweek and AED 399 weekend and public holidays, respectively.
Hatta Wadi Hub is offering an assortment of activities to suit every taste, from mountain bike coaching and rentals to downhill mountain carting and trampoline jumping.
To add to the roster, this year Dubai Holding is introducing, by popular demand, four new exciting activities: a 10-metre high Climbing Wall with five separate lanes; Zip Line with dual lines to race 350 metres across the Wadi; Slingshot propelling thrill seekers to heights of 50 metres at speed, guaranteeing a boost of adrenaline rush; and Paragliding to provide visitors with the opportunity to witness the natural beauty of Hatta from a bird’s eye view unlike ever before.
Hatta Hiking Trails
Hatta Hiking Trail, a 32.6-kilometre ability-graded set of hiking routes, is also available [both for free and as guided tours and will remain open all year], giving visitors the unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Hatta mountains from up close.
The trails, which start from the Hatta Wadi Hub, comprise four colour-coded routes of various difficulty levels, for absolute beginners through to experienced hikers and off-road runners. The routes are Green, Blue, Red and Black, going from easiest to hardest. Together, the Hatta Hiking Trails form the longest sign-posted hiking routes in the UAE.
Hatta Heritage Village
Complementing the variety of adventure experiences, Hatta Heritage Village, one of the oldest existing Emirati villages in Dubai has been rebuilt and enhanced to offer a unique local community feel taking visitors back hundreds of years to interact with authentic Emirati culture.
The site includes a Majlis, where locals and visitors come together to share and learn the history of Hatta; boutique shops selling local arts and crafts and Hatta-made honey; a heritage store and a local restaurant called Al Hajarain.
Over the years Hatta has rapidly developed into a prime regional destination for eco-tourism, integrating hospitality, retail and transportation to offer a diverse leisure experience that meets the aspirations of present and future generations.
The tourism landscape at Hatta and its idyllic surroundings is undergoing further development in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to engage local businesses, entrepreneurs, and young people.
