Breakfast Buffet at Al Badiya, Tilal Liwa Hotel

The all-day dining restaurant at Tilal Liwa Hotel serves an excellent breakfast buffet that is the prefect way to start your day.

The stunning Tilal Liwa Hotel set in the midst of the Empty Quarter known as the Rub Al Khali in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi is an amazing place for a weekend getaway or a family staycation.

This serene and enchanting hotel has a few excellent dining options and Al Badiya is the anchor, all day dining venue serving excellent food all through the day, be it breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a snack with a drink, yes it’s fully licensed, they have it all and a little birdie whispered something about a Friday brunch coming soon as well.

We were over to relax and unwind after a long, stressful week, and were excited to go try the breakfast buffet that is part of the stay package.

The Venue.

Al Badiya is situated just off the main hotel lobby to the right, it’s a gorgeous venue with high ceiling and tastefully done interiors offering seating in a variety of configurations. To the rear, stretching across the restaurant, is a lavish buffet featuring all the favourites you would like.

We are greeted warmly at the door and offered a choice of tables, the side facing the pool is bright with the morning light offering excellent views across the pool and the desert beyond so we opted for a table on this side.

It’s a fully licensed venue that serves food and beverages all day, and their breakfast buffet happens seven days of the week.

The Food

Its an international buffet featuring an extensive variety of local, Indian and other international dishes, we settle down order some coffee and off we go to on our exploration of the buffet.

There are a variety of breakfast cereal to choose form with an assortment of nuts and other toppings to add. You can grab a variety of fresh juices here as well.

Just besides this is a huge cheese and fresh fruit counter with a good selection of fruit and different varieties of cheeses to try.

Next to this is a variety of cold cuts, olives and fresh dips to add that extra zing, we loved the smoked salmon and the black olives.

There is an array of fresh cut vegetables to make your own salads with a few different dressings on the side.

Head over to the main buffet and there is a live omelet station where the Chef will cook up any style of omelet you prefer, we got the extra spicy cheese omelet and loved it.

There is a selection of beef and chicken sausages you can add to your omelet along with freshly baked hash browns.

The India section had a delightful egg curry with a traditional poha which we loved.

There is an Arabic section which had the traditional foul beans and rice as well, and there is a good selection of fresh bread with a variety of jams to end your meal.

The Verdict.

The foods great, the ambiance superb and the service is absolutely on point. Each of the different dishes had perfect taste and we couldn’t get enough of the egg curry and the Arabic rice.

The team does a great job to make you feel at home and the views out of the floor to ceiling windows is magnificent. Can’t wait to go back and try their lunch buffer once it starts.

The Pricing.

The buffet is priced at AED 115 for adults and AED 55 for kids and the best part is the buffet is available every day of the week.
