Experience exquisite Indian cuisine at this little place in The Galleria, Abu Dhabi.
The little food court in The Galleria has a few interesting outlets and one that caught our eye was Bombay Canteen.
There were aromas of fresh baked naan and Indian curries crying out to be tasted so there was not much we could do but go over and give them a try.
Its a nice little place with a well curated menu that has street food, curries, biryani and some delectable desserts.
The Order
The menu is quiet extensive with quaint names like Bombay Burger for the famous Vada Pav and they even have an Indian take on the classic Shepard’s Pie.
We settled for the Butter Chicken combo which had a side of Daal Makhani and a choice of fresh baked naan.
The lady at the counter recommended we upgrade to a full naan which was sound advice and we settled on the Garlic Naan, must try their Smoked Red Bell Pepper Naan the next time.
The food was ready in no time and we were very excited with the presentation, the Butter Chicken looked stunning and the aromas made our mouth water.
The Butter Chicken was superb, little chunks of grilled chicken in flavorful and aromatic gravy topped with white butter and tempered spices, full of flavor.
The side of Daal Makhani was delightful, we could taste the smokiness which gave it a great flavor.
The Garlic Naan, hot and fresh, drizzled with butter was flaky and soft making it perfect to soak up the gravy.
The Verdict
We were pleasantly surprised at the great tasting food coming for this little food court outlet, the quality was definitely restaurant worthy.
The price is great and the portion size is good for two people, we loved the funky décor and the staff are really pleasant.
We ae going to be back soon to try some of he Chefs Specials and dessets.
