We recently were down at their Abu Dhabi venue and on the recommendations of their manager, indulged in their “Sayniyet El Derwandi for 2,” and it proved to be a fantastic start to our day.

Nestled in the Radisson Blu Hotel and Resort, Abu Dhabi, Derwandi offers a welcoming and serene environment. The interior, adorned with soothing hues of blues and greens against white walls, accented with light wood and rose gold lighting, creates an instantly calming atmosphere.
For those who prefer an al fresco start to their day, there’s a cozy outdoor area with wicker chairs around a water feature. The non-smoking area faces the bakery, where the enticing aroma of freshly baked manakish and hot bread fills the air – a delightful precursor to the meal.
The restaurant itself exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re seated indoors or enjoying the outdoor seating, there’s a pleasant buzz that speaks to its popularity. It’s comfortable enough for a leisurely meal, without being overly formal.

The Sayniyet El Derwandi breakfast tray is a true celebration of traditional breakfast items, perfectly portioned for two. It features a generous spread that starts with a welcome drink and includes:

- Eggs: Prepared your way, allowing their natural goodness to shine.
- Warm Bread: Essential for scooping up all the deliciousness.
- Pot of Tea: Perfect accompaniment to the meal.
The Service
Service: The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring our experience was smooth and enjoyable. Our food arrived promptly, and they were happy to assist with any requests.
The Verdict
For two people, the Sayniyet El Derwandi is more than ample. We found ourselves comfortably full without feeling overly stuffed. The variety ensures that there’s something to please every palate, and the quality of each item is consistently high. Considering the generous portions and the fresh ingredients, it offers excellent value for money.
