A December to Remember at Louvre Abu Dhabi

This December, Louvre Abu Dhabi welcomes visitors with a rich line-up of experiences celebrating creativity, heritage, and togetherness. From National Day activities, extended Monday openings and a last chance to explore the breathtaking Art Here 2025 exhibition, to musical celebrations and engaging winter camp programme for children, the museum wraps the year with unforgettable moments for all ages.

As the month begins, the museum brings the community together through activities that spark creativity and connection ahead of the national celebrations.

Celebrate the nation’s special day with weekend activities filled with light, art, and Emirati heritage, including free experiences that honour the UAE’s cultural identity and community spirit.

  • Free “Drawing at the Museum and Let’s Sketch” Activities
    Join artist-led sessions inspired by UAE artworks, where visitors of all ages can experiment, sketch, and explore their creativity. No booking required.

    Drop in for guided tours highlighting the UAE’s cultural identity, heritage, and artistic expression. No booking required.

    Watch the museum glow as a special National Day projection illuminates its stunning architecture.

Extended Monday Openings

Every Monday, 1 – 29 December 2025

Louvre Abu Dhabi will open every Monday throughout December, giving visitors additional days to enjoy the galleries, relax beneath the dome and take in the tranquil waterfront setting during the festive season.

Sign your little one up today for a four-day adventure where children explore colour, creativity, and imagination. Inspired by Piet Mondrian’s Composition with Red, Blue, Yellow, and Black, children explore how artists use colour as a universal language. Led by the museum’s education team, participants create their own artworks, meet curators and learn about museum conservation. Each camp combines hands-on activities, teamwork and creative discoveries.

In celebration of the Mamluks: Legacy of an Empire exhibition, Louvre Abu Dhabi, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, invites visitors to an enchanting musical evening that bridges eras and cultures. Renowned Egyptian singer Mohamed Mohsen, accompanied by an exceptional ensemble led by Maestro George Kolta, brings beloved classics to life in a 90-minute performance filled with rhythm and nostalgia. Experience the golden age of Arab music in a live performance where contemporary Arabic melodies meet Eastern instrumental arrangements, offering a vibrant and unforgettable musical experience.

On view until 28 December 2025, the fifth edition of Louvre Abu Dhabi Art Here, presented in collaboration with luxury Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille, offers visitors a final chance to experience six contemporary artworks by seven shortlisted artists responding to the theme Shadows. Curated by Sophie Mayuko Arni, the exhibition highlights the interplay of light and absence, visibility and concealment, and the layered dimensions of memory and identity.
