Celebrate the joys of summer with vibrant new dishes inspired by Japanese philosophy
wagamama is delighted to announce the launch of its new summer menu, in conjunction with its summer campaign, “Itsuraku: The Pursuit of Pleasure.” This international campaign celebrates the essence of summer — warmer days, longer evenings, holidays, festivals, and precious moments spent with friends and family, all accompanied by delicious, soul-nourishing dishes.
Rooted in the Japanese philosophy of itsuraku, which means the pursuit of pleasure, this campaign embodies wagamama’s commitment to positive eating and positive living. wagamama believes that food nourishes not just the body, but also the soul, and there’s no better time to embrace this philosophy than during the vibrant summer months.
Introducing the New Summer Menu
While maintaining the beloved staples from the previous menu, such as soulful bowls, curries, ramen, and teppanyakis, wagamama is thrilled to introduce several new additions across various categories:
Soulful Bowls:
+ Koyo Bowl: A bright and refreshing choice featuring your selection of chicken or salmon, combined with a sticky red chilli and miso sauce. Served on a bed of mixed leaves, beetroot, carrot, cucumber, mooli, red radish, and edamame beans, and topped with crunchy sunflower seed brittle, coriander, and a creamy white miso and mustard dressing on the side.
Curry:
+ Red Thai Curry: A bold and spicy red curry cooked with coconut milk and kaffir lime leaves, served with fresh green beans and aubergine, accompanied by a dome of white rice. Garnished with coriander, chili, and sesame seeds for an extra kick.
Donburi:
+ Gochujang Rice Bowl: Choose from chicken, shrimp, or silken tofu coated in a spicy gochujang sauce, with bok choy, pickled cucumber, snow onion slaw, and red onion. Served on a bed of sticky white rice, and finished with spring onion, sliced red chilli, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds and red pepper powder.
+ Sweet + Sour Chicken: Crispy chicken in a sweet and sour sauce with red and green peppers and red onion, served with a dome of white rice, garnished with lotus root, spring onion, and ginger.
Teppanyaki:
+ Crispy Beef Soba: Soba noodles cooked with egg, leek, beansprouts, spring onions, and chilli, drizzled with a spicy teriyaki sauce, and topped with chilli and coriander.
Sharing Platters: Perfect for families, the new sharing platters feature wagamama favorites in generous family portions, including the Bang Bang Shrimp, Gyoza Platter, Katsu Platter, and Bao Platter.
