Umm Al Emarat Park Unveils “Ramadan Nights at the Park” – A Celebration of Community in Abu Dhabi!

Umm Al Emarat Park is hosting “Ramadan Nights at the Park“, a month-long celebration designed to bring the Abu Dhabi community together in the heart of Abu Dhabi. In line with the UAE’s Year of Community, this programme offers a variety of activities for families and individuals to embrace the spirit of Ramadan in a peaceful outdoor setting.

Iftar Cannon & Community Initiative
Every evening, the Iftar cannon will mark the breaking of the fast at the Main Gate, starting from the last day of Sha’ban – 29 February – at Maghrib prayer time. In partnership with the Red Crescent, the park will also distribute “Kisr Al-Siyam” Iftar boxes, providing community members on-the-go meals to break their fast.

Ramadan Garden – Iftar and Suhoor Under the Stars
Starting from March 7, Families and friends can gather in the Ramadan Garden, a nature-filled outdoor space, perfect for enjoying Iftar and Suhoor amidst the park’s tranquility. Guests can immerse themselves in the serene atmosphere with live oud music.
Iftar is available from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM and includes Ramadan beverages, with a special discount for children aged 4 to 12 years and complimentary access for infants up to 4 years old.

Suhoor is served from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM, also featuring Ramadan beverages, with the same offers for children and infants.

Ramadan Pop-up Market
The Ramadan Market will take place every Friday and Saturday from 08:00 PM to 01:00 AM at the Great Lawn – Park Market Area. The market will feature a variety of small businesses and food vendors, alongside Ramadan-themed entertainment.

Every Friday and Saturday from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM at the Great Lawn – Park Market Area, children and families can take part in a variety of engaging activities celebrating Ramadan at the park. The programme includes a scavenger hunt, Hakawati (storytelling) sessions, lantern-making workshops, and live Arabic music performances. Children can also enjoy interactive gaming stations and meet traditional characters, bringing the spirit of Ramadan to life in a fun and immersive way.

For a more relaxed and personalised experience, visitors can enjoy a Ramadan Picnic Basket by Green for Life, featuring a selection of sandwiches, dates, healthy snacks, and juices. Whether you’re unwinding in the park’s greenery or sharing special moments with loved ones in the pleasant evening breeze, this basket offers a great way to break your fast.

Fitness and wellness sessions
Fitness and wellness sessions will take place at the Evening Garden. These sessions provide an opportunity for the community to unwind and engage in mindful practices in a serene setting.
