A popular American chain famous for its Chicken Fingers and Cane’s Sauce
Strangely named after the founder’s dog Cane, Raising Cane’s went on to become a legend in the US famous for their Chicken Fingers and the Cane’s Sauce.
After they opened in The Galleria, we never got around to go try but finally managed to visit see for ourselves what the hype was all about.
The Location
Located in the Food Court of The Galleria Mall it’s a neat and clean place with friendly staff and a well put together but quiet limited menu, just three combo options and drinks.
The Order
The Box Combo – Four Chicken Fingers with their signature Crinkle Cut Fries, Coleslaw, Texas Toast and their special sauce with a coke to drink.
The chicken came piping hot, crisp and moist very good texture but sadly tasted bland, can’t figure out what the hype is about here.
The Coleslaw was really nice, the Texas Toast was superb just a bit more butter would have been amazing on it though.
The Crinkle Cut fires were perfect and the special sauce was okay, felt like a blend of Mayo and Thousand Islands.
The Sandwich Combo -This came with a Chicken Fingers in a burger bun with fires and drink. The Burger Bun was really nice and soft and the fires amazing, loved it but again the strips had no real taste or flavor.
We also tried their Sweetened Ice Tea and found it average.
The Verdict
Overall, we would rate them at 4 /5, services was fast, price okay food fresh, made to order but they really need to do something and add some flavor to the chicken.
At a place that prides itself on its main item, the chicken strips and has a limited four item menu focused on them we felt quiet let down by this.
Hope they take this onboard and do something about it. Certainly didn’t make us go OHHHHHHH YEAH !
