McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing announce historic opportunity to own a 2027 McLaren Le Mans Hypercar in highly exclusive Project: Endurance customer partnership programme

  • McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing collaborate on Project: Endurance – a unique opportunity to own an authentic Le Mans Hypercar and become part of McLaren racing history
  • A strictly limited number of customer cars will be developed in parallel with the McLaren LMDh Hypercar that will compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2027
  • Project: Endurance customers will experience at first-hand McLaren’s campaign to win the Triple Crown* of motorsport in a single season
  • Project: Endurance includes unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to test and development activities as McLaren Endurance Racing prepares for its WEC Hypercar debut
  • Ownership of the Le Mans Hypercar is inclusive of two-year, McLaren track car programme operating at top-tier race circuits, providing an unparalleled customer experience

McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing are collaborating to offer a highly exclusive opportunity to deliver the exhilaration of driving an authentic Le Mans Hypercar – a sensation that few will ever experience – to a select few as part of the unique Project: Endurance customer partnership programme.

Those chosen for Project: Endurance participation will become part of McLaren’s racing history – which includes the iconic 1995 victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, two Indy 500 wins, and triumphs in more than 190 Grands Prix – including Monaco – leading to nine Formula 1 Constructors’ World Championships and the only manufacturer to achieve the Triple Crown*.

“I’m delighted to announce that McLaren Automotive is collaborating with our colleagues in McLaren Racing to introduce a bold, authentic Le Mans Hypercar customer ownership experience. In addition to owning the very latest LMDh race car – a driving sensation alone few will ever experience – customers will enjoy unique, wholly immersive access to the development and racing programme that will underpin our 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship contender. Together with the associated track driving programme curated for Project: Endurance, this incredible opportunity delivers a new dimension in McLaren customer partnership.”

Like the WEC LMDh Hypercar run by McLaren United AS, Project: Endurance will be powered by a race-built V6 twin turbo hybrid powertrain driving the rear wheels, and built in partnership with renowned race car constructor, Dallara, which is also the exclusive partner to the NTT INDYCAR Series.

“McLaren Racing’s return to the FIA World Endurance Championship marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for us. We have a rich history in the sport together with McLaren Automotive, having raced and won on our first attempt at Le Mans in 1995. This customer programme will offer buyers an incredible chance to own an authentic race car and get closer to the action on track.”

Taking the customer Le Mans Hypercar ownership experience to a new level, McLaren brings Project: Endurance purchasers to the very heart of an elite motorsport development and testing programme. Customers will have full behind-the-scenes access to the upcoming McLaren Racing LMDh programme, key team personnel and drivers – and become a part of McLaren Endurance Racing’s story.

As well as owning the Project: Endurance car, the customers will be at the very centre of the development programme for the McLaren Hypercar that will challenge for victory in the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). They will also experience the euphoria of the 24 Hours of Le Mans that year, as part of McLaren’s campaign to again win the Triple Crown* of motorsport – this time in a single season.

Inclusive to the Project: Endurance ownership experience, customers will enjoy a two-year McLaren customer track programme that encompasses some of the world’s best race circuits. They will benefit from support at track events each season, participating on an arrive-and-drive basis. Each owner will receive driver coaching from a race professional, with individual pit crew and race engineers supporting throughout.

Further information about this unique collaboration between McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing will be shared as the programme matures.
