From rabbits to goats, tortoises, a pony and a python, mall-goers can pet, feed, and ride an array of friendly animals every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the next month
Deerfields Mall, Abu Dhabi’s popular community shopping centre, has a few new residents it wants you to meet. Starting Friday, the mall is inviting visitors to experience its Pet Farm and the chance to get up close to a host of friendly animals, including rabbits, tortoise, ponies, and even a python!
Joining forces with Emirates Park Zoo, the pet farm will operate every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from January 21 until February 27, from 4pm to 10pm. The initiative, organized in conjunction with the mall’s Farmers’ Market, is located in the newly revamped Garden area and allows children of all ages to play and feed the animals between 4pm and 10pm while their parents explore locally sourced produce and crafted goods.
Entrance to the pet farm is free when you spend 50 AED or more anywhere in the mall, enabling guests to pet owls, sheep, goats, tortoises, rabbits, chickens, and yes, a royal ball python. Options of animal feeding and pony riding are also available, with children aged 3 or under allowed to enter free of charge. All farm guests are automatically entered into a raffle to win a one-night staycation for two at Emirates Park Zoo & Resort with new winners announced each week.
