Al Ain Adventure Delivers High-Octane Competition with the Al Ain Off-Road Challenge

Some of the UAE’s most talented off-roaders have converged on Al Ain Adventure for the first Al Ain Off-Road Challenge, putting their skills to the test at the popular sports and leisure destination’s recently opened XQ Adventure off-road driving track.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of Al Qabila FC, attended the event as the guest of honour. The challenge also drew the participation of Ilie Cebanu, owner and CEO of United FC Dubai, and Saoud Al Kaabi, Emirati actor and XQuarry owner. To further engage visitors, Al Masaood Automobiles Nissan showcased the Nissan X-Trail and Patrol models, so visitors could experience the vehicles’ innovative designs and technology firsthand.

Sponsored by Al Masaood Automobiles Nissan and hosted in partnership with XQuarry 4×4 & Adventure Park and 2nd Gear, the amateur competition attracted 30 owners of all-terrain vehicles, including 4×4 cars, enduro bikes and buggies. Drivers and riders tested their skills and endurance on a tough one-kilometre technical course with custom-built obstacles, covering gravel, rocks, concrete and mud. The thrilling races attracted around 150 spectators.

XQ Adventure is the second venue from the creators of XQuarry Off-Road & Adventure Park and offers a fresh and unique set of experiences unique to Al Ain. It differs from its Mleiha counterpart by emphasising natural-appearing off-road trails at the foot of Jebel Hafit, including several scenic wadi beds.

Damir Jovic, General Manager, Al Ain Adventure, said: “The Al Ain Off-Road Challenge is a true test of skills and determination, bringing together the off-roading community from across the UAE to build connections over their shared love for this beautiful but challenging sport. It also reinforces the Abu Dhabi emirate’s position as a global sports destination. This event drives home the message that Al Ain has much more to offer beyond its well-known attractions.”

Bachir Gemayel, Sales and Marketing Director at Al Masaood Automobiles, said: “As a company deeply rooted in the community, Al Masaood Automobiles Nissan is at the forefront of supporting events that honour our nation’s heritage, especially during 2025, the Year of Community. This event provides an invaluable opportunity for us to connect with the residents of Al Ain —a city that holds a special importance for us as the heart of Abu Dhabi’s indigenous culture and traditions. The strong and lasting connection between the people of Al Ain, Nissan and Al Masaood Automobiles is a testament to the bond we deeply value and cherish.”

Joe El Murr won the 4×4 category, while Krzysztof Troszczynski was named the best enduro biker.

Krzysztof Troszczynski added: “I’m happy to be here as the winner, especially as that was my first win ever. The track was tough and really made us work hard. It was set up perfectly to test our skills. Racing against such great riders pushed me to do my best. A big thanks to the organisers for putting together this awesome event and to all the competitors for making it a great race. This win means
