When you think of sliders the mouth waters imagining the endless variations possible and at Slider HQ you will not be disappointed.
An interesting concept playing on the Headquarter theme with cheeky named sliders, The Spicy Secretary sounded wicked.
The Venue
This is one of those fast mushrooming delivery only concepts with five locations across Abu Dhabi from Yas Island to Mussafah and a couple across the island itself so you are in reach anywhere in Abu Dhabi.
The Menu
A well curated menu with a load of interesting sliders along with some exceptionally tasty wings thrown in for the fun of it.
With options to order a pair or a half dozen or heck a full dozen sliders there is no reason not to go raid the HQ and grab a dozen.
The Order
What the heck, we just couldn’t resist so went with a dozen and an order of curly fries and a dozen wings just for fun and we were amazed.
Curly Fries – A huge serving of slightly spiced fires with not a hint of oil on them, great bite and the heat was a pleasant surprise.
Wings – Twelve chicken wings, soft and succulent, dripping with buffalo sauce with a ranch dip were another hit. The taste was superb and the heat blew us away, one of the best wings in town.
The Sliders – Anything in a potato bun is heaven but if you have beef brisket and pulled ribs in the mix it takes things to another level.
The Accountant and The Bright Receptionist need to get a promotion for their exceptional contributions to the HQ.
The Hot Chick dripping chimichurri and El Presidente with the siracha oozing out had us licking our fingers.
The Verdict
We are amazed, its that simple, never have we had a dozen sliders each a handcrafted masterpiece, not to mention the wings and fries.
The sliders come in boxes of six, you slide the box out and they are sitting in individual compartments with small flags with their names on them, so very cool.
Its a delightful concept well executed all the way, form the menu to the food and the packaging everything ties into the theme which is such a cool thing.
The sliders are the right size not too small not to big and the price point is excellent, AED 149 for a dozen is a steal.
All we can complain about is the delivery time is a bit longer than stated but perhaps as it was a busy Friday evening this can be forgiven.
