Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi in collaboration with Hattem Mattar welcomes guests to a collection of dining experiences.
Shangri-La’s Culinary Master Series returns and is set to feature a collection of dinners by Hattem Mattar. The first Arab BBQ pitmaster, renowned for his tender, juicy brisket, and smoked meats, will light up the sandy shores of ESS Lounge as he treats diners to a simply must-try BBQ set menu from 13 to 17 April.
Born and raised in an Egyptian household, Chef Mattar draws inspiration from his mother’s cooking style, with many of his signature dishes paying homage to his upbringing. His title as first Arab Pitmaster is earned both through a love of regional flavours as well as experience gained through an apprenticeship with a true Texas pit master, Bryan Bracewell. Mattar is no doubt a true culinary mind that employs intricate techniques centred around a simple mantra – Food and fire bring people together.

These dinners will sit within a line-up of already exciting guest experiences this season at Shangri-La such as its Ramadan Village. This elevated Suhoor experience that will see guests enjoy memorable evenings by the poolside, at which Chef Mattar will also feature a signature a la carte menu for those looking to treat themselves and their loved ones.
The exclusive four-course set menu will be available from 13 to 17 April 2022 at 7 p.m. for AED298 per person and AED468 for guests who want to enjoy the meal with a carefully thought-through wine pairing.
