The MICHELIN-star selected restaurant is hosting unmissable ‘four-hands’ dinners and an interactive master class as part of the debut ‘MICHELIN Star Table Experience Abu Dhabi’
Rosewood Abu Dhabi is thrilled to further its position as a leading culinary destination by participating in the first-ever edition of the MICHELIN Star Table Experience Abu Dhabi.
Following its selection for the debut of MICHELIN Guide Abu Dhabi, award-winning Cantonese restaurant Dai Pai Dong will be hosting a series of special ‘four-hands’ dinners and an immersive masterclass as part of the landmark culinary event, with limited seats available.
Taking place on December 15 and 16, the ‘Asian Series: Dai Pai Dong x Chaat’ will see Dai Pai Dong’s Chef Nie Dong and MICHELIN-starred restaurant chef Manav Tuli of CHAAT, Rosewood Hong Kong, join forces to create an array of unforgettable recipes for guests.
Presenting the best flavours and specialities from Cantonese and Indian cuisine, all served with a creative and theatrical twist, the series presents an unmissable opportunity to savour enrapturing delicacies from two of the world’s leading luminaries in Asian cuisine.
Chef Dong will be presenting speciality curated editions of Dai Pai Dong’s ever-popular menu of Dim Sum plate (BBQ Chicken Puff, Lobster Dumpling, Scallop Dumpling) and Sea Urchin with Scallop Jelly and salmon salad whilst one of the mains include stir-fried asparagus, lotus root and Lily bulb.
To add an extra layer of indulgence, a delectable Mango mousse bird’s nest will be served to conclude the meal.
Passionate about introducing people from across the globe to the magic of authentic Chinese cuisine, Chef Dong’s impressive career in the restaurant industry spans over 20 years. Born and raised in the ancient capital city of Nanjing in eastern China, Chef Dong was born into a family of chefs and culinary craftsmanship runs through his DNA. Constantly learning and experimenting, he always cooks with love and meticulous attention to detail.
Meanwhile, Chef Manav’s menu covers classics from across India, served with finesse and acumen. Bringing India’s bustling roadside food culture to life, Chef Manav’s menu for the Asian Series will take diners from India’s central states to the Bombay coast, the Northern Punjab and right down to Kerala in the South. Drawing on his wealth of experience gathered in some of the finest kitchens of London and India, his bold and modern interpretations are sure to delight and enthral.
Offering an indoor dining experience, guests will be welcomed by refreshing drinks on the terrace before as they enter the atmospheric and Chinese heritage-inspired dining room, the ‘four-hands’ dinner are unmissable experiences for anyone with a passion for Chinese or Indian cuisine.
Meanwhile, the fully immersive masterclass invites adventurous food aficionados to learn the secrets behind MICHELIN-standard Asian cooking and watch in wonder as Chef Dong and Chef Manav create their most timeless and tantalizing specialities in front of their eyes.
A collaborative project between the MICHELIN Guide and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the MICHELIN Star Table Experience Abu Dhabi is designed to celebrate the UAE capital’s thriving scene.
A truly gastronomic experience filled with explosive aromatic Asian flavours, premium ingredients and exceptional culinary skills, tickets for the ‘Asian Series: Dai Pai Dong x Chaat’ are priced AED 888 per person inclusive of beverage pairing.
Taking place on December 15 and 16 from 8pm onwards at Dai Pai Dong, Rosewood Abu Dhabi, reservations for both dinners are required as seats will be limited.
