Ibiza’s world famous Cafe Del Mar will be opening at the upcoming Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island in 2021.
The legendary bar which has its own music label is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and talks are at an advanced stage for the Abu Dhabi launch.
Famous for its sundown (and sunrise) sessions, Café Del Mar is the ultimate chill-out location and has spawned a series of music compilations that try to replicate the venue’s vibe.
History.
Café del Mar Ibiza opened its doors for the first time on June 20 in 1980. It quickly became known as the home to the most breathtaking sunsets of the island.
The pioneering sound of Balearic beats heard playing in the background catapulted Café del Mar into a global phenomenon.
The music albums that followed ended up becoming one of the best-selling compilation series in the world, creating an entire style of music.
