#AbuDhabiLovesCoffee brews up a variety of experiences across the city’s best specialty coffee concepts
Abu Dhabi Culinary Season, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi’s) celebration of dining experiences running until December 9 has unveiled an expanded programme of interactive city-wide culinary events.
Curated to position the UAE capital as a global dining hotspot with a multi-national, multi-sensory culinary landscape, the activations support homegrown and established international brand restaurants.
Taking on a new twist following its successful 2020 edition, the Best Bites Between The Bread Scavenger Hunt will see interactive culinary hunters search the city for the best dishes throughout November.
Scavenger hunters join in the search via the capital’s leading restaurants to win prizes along the way tackling challenges including identifying a mystery ingredient, to finding hidden decal stickers, snapping selfies, and crafting personalised burgers.
Restaurants waiting to be hunted include the specialty Cantonese cuisine focused Dai Pai Dong, Café 302, the popular urban restaurant-café, the award-winning Butcher & Still, and homegrown Lento which specialises in artisanal smashed burger and fried chicken.
The capital’s coffee connoisseurs will also savour the November 8-28 return of #AbuDhabiLovesCoffee in partnership with TheHUNTR.com featuring over 20 of the capital’s best specialty coffee concepts, each serving up enticing and educational workshops, pop-ups, talks and tasting sessions. This second in series will see caffeine fans tour the best of Abu Dhabi’s specialty coffee scene via a digital guide which will also serve up celebratory tasting menus at Mirzam, Oud, Jet Lag, Culture, Caffeino, and Pentagon among others. At participating venues guests can order an exclusive Voters Tasting Combo for 22AED, which features two specialty coffees for 22AED – the concept’s exclusive creation for #AbuDhabiLovesCoffee and the standard coffee of the guest’s choice.
The coffee outlets will also be vying to clinch titles denoting them as amongst the best in the emirate. Titles up for grabs include ‘Best Overall Specialty Coffee Concept’, ‘Best Special #AbuDhabiLovesCoffee Exclusive Drink’, ‘Best Barista’ and ‘Best Overall Coffee & Food Offering’, with connoisseurs voting for their favourite outlets via the newly created @abudhabilovescoffee Instagram channel during the final week of the campaign.
Elsewhere, foodies can relish special offers available via Deliveroo at select burger restaurants. Customers ordering the biggest number of burgers during Abu Dhabi Culinary Season from the extensive list of participating restaurants will be entered into a draw to win AED50,000 worth of shopping vouchers for select outlets.
In celebration of the UAE’s 50th year, restaurants throughout Abu Dhabi’s malls including Yas Mall, Marina Mall and The Galleria Mall have launched Trademark Story with diners invited to enjoy chef signature dishes for just AED 50 at participating restaurants.
